On January 31, 2018, the Comfort Inn Rouyn Noranda was sold to four investors from Quebec city, including Alain Darras who is going to manage this hotel with his team. The new owners are planning major renovations by adding an exercise room and adding thirty seats to the breakfast room within a few weeks. Then, within the next 24 months, they plan to change all furniture, add an elevator and make major changes on the exterior of the building.
